lisa's story
Singer-songwriter Lisa Franklin is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. Her music crosses genres between Contemporary Christian music and Urban Contemporary Gospel music making it appeal to audiences of all races, cultures, and backgrounds. Her music is played with a live band that consist of an electric guitar, classical acoustic guitar, drums, bass guitar and keyboard. She is an International Multi Award-Winning Gospel Recording Artist.
Lisa was raised in a Christian home where her father was a Baptist preacher. She has been singing in the church most of her life. She grew up listening to and being influenced by pioneers of Contemporary Gospel music, Andre Crouch, Edwin Hawkins, and other trailblazers of that time. Lisa would sing in the choir with her seven siblings before becoming a worship leader herself.
accomplishments & Awards
While singing as a background vocalist for a group, Lisa was blessed with the opportunity to tour and open for gospel greats Shirley Caesar and The Williams Brothers. She had the opportunity to sing her single “Prophesy” on a Sounds of Worship virtual tour featuring Kierra Sheard, The Walls Group and Alexis Spight from BET’s Sunday’s Best. Lisa has appeared as a musical guest on Atlanta Live TV where she sang her original musical.
In 2020, Lisa’s single, titled “Prophesy,” won her two Rhythm of Gospel Awards for Best Performance by a Female Artist and Praise & Worship Female Vocalist of The Year.
New Music
Lisa is currently working on completing her EP “When Life Happens.” This EP tells a story, the story of her life. The message behind this EP is meant to point others towards God and His amazing love. She wrote Prophesy (to speak), “I Believe” (faith) and soon to be released “Even in This (You’re Still God)” (over my current situation). Lisa is also working on releasing her single titled “Lion of Judah.”
Lisa’s music is published through her company JNC Music. She is a singer, songwriter (BMI), producer, composer and publisher (BMI). Her newly released single, “I Believe”, and “Prophesy” are available on all digital outlets including iTunes, Spotify, YouTube and more.
